Stinger Detectors offers the Gold Stinger X5 device for all novice prospectors with great features for professional prospectors, and all prospectors can use the device for multiple purposes including coin shooting, relic hunting, natural gold prospecting, and manufactured gold detection such as gold jewelry like bracelets, rings and any metal targets small or large.

Gold Stinger X5 was developed based on practical experiments in the fields within various terrains and different types of soils; the device performance tested in detecting various types of metal targets of different sizes, which are manufactured from various metals, to test a set of useful features that meet the aspirations and needs of prospectors around the world.

Detection Modes

Gold Stinger X5 metal detector has two different search modes or Detection Modes that the user can use for different detection purposes:

All Metals Mode: The general metal detection mode that can be used to detect all kinds of metal, used best for coin shooting or small relic hunting
Discrimination Mode: The detection mode best used for gold prospecting and treasure detection
Pinpointer Mode: this mode pinpoints and finds the exact location of potential buried targets during excavation and gives audible feedback

Discrimination Mode

This detection mode is a powerful mode for the detection of different targets including buried objects made of gold such as golden coins, jewelry, and natural gold or deep treasures to an extreme depth of up to 5 meters.

This detection mode offers great metal discrimination features for four categories including:

Gold – Precious Metal (non-Ferrous) – Non-Precious Metal (Ferrous) – Voids

In this detection mode, the device screen displays a 2D graphical visualization of detected target signals as a variable 2D graph with a different color that matches a specific target type.

In deep detection mode, the prospector can adjust some settings such as Sensitivity and Gain to find large-mass buried targets at extra depths more easily.

Gold Stinger X5 in this mode had an extra separation section that shows the mineral rocks, which is the biggest problem in cavities, as a mineral instead of seeing them as cavities like in other metal detector devices.

All Metal Mode

All Metal detection mode is the preferred mode for the detection of small-size targets located at the surface at small depths, example includes such as coins tiny gold nuggets, and small relics or jewelry.

In this mode, also Gold Stinger X5 also offers a powerful metal discrimination feature that lets the prospector know the detected target precisely based on the numerical value displayed on its screen called Numerical Target Identity or for short Target ID.

The numerical Target ID is displayed on the screen, accompanied by the Target ID Scale, which is a graduated curve with values ranging from 0 to 90 and divided into three sections of different colors (yellow – red – green).

These three colors correspond to a specific type of target, the digital value of the Target ID with color indication gives the prospector a clear idea of the nature of the detected target.

This mode enables the user to adjust many variables and settings such as ZB Filter, Hot rocks feature, Turbo Mode, and Sensitivity to get the best performance for detecting different targets in various ground conditions and terrain.

Pinpointer Mode

The device integrates Pinpointer functionality through this detection mode to pinpoint and find the exact location of potential buried targets during excavation without the need for a separate Pinpointer device, the user will not lose or miss the location of the targets by using the Pinpoint function via Pinpoint button find the target location as the device gives an acoustic feedback.

ZB Filter

ZB filter provides a healthy search by filtering interference and sounds in mineral soils and wetground soils

This option is useful to focus the search on precious metals and gold only and ignore the signals of targets made from non-precious metals.

This option can be set within a specific value within a range so that the higher the value, the lower the probability of discovering worthless targets.

Therefore, the user can set it to filter received signals and increase the probability of detecting valuable targets.

HOT ROCK Option

Hot rocks are any rock or piece of stone that does not contain precious metal minerals (gold, silver, or copper for example), but when passing over it by a metal detector, it gives sound signals similar to the signals of these metals.

This feature of the Stinger X5 metal detector is useful in filtering and reducing these signals to obtain more accurate and reliable results and to avoid the detection of valueless metal targets.

Turbo Mode Option

When using the All Metal detection mode, this option, when activated by the user increasing its value, provides the possibility of detecting targets at depths greater than 30%, which increases the possibility of discovering valuable treasures.

The sensitivity setting can be lowered or increased depending on the soil structure.

Sensitivity Efficiency

As you increase the numbers, it provides extra depth to the device, allowing you to detect gold, coins, objects, and jewelry 10% deeper. As you decrease the numbers, it will not affected by the mineral structures in the soil

Automatic Ground Balance

Gold Stinger X5 automatic ground balance feature is designed in automatic and easy-to-understand English so that a person who has never used a detector can use his professional detector in seconds to find buried targets.

Depth Indicator

The device includes a very useful feature for prospectors, which is the possibility of estimating the depth of the detected targets (available in All Metal operation mode) through a simple mechanism that displays the approximate depth of the detected target – for example, a golden coin – on screen in centimeters.

The menu system in the user interface provides an easy way to set various settings related to the search, such as sensitivity, ground balance, iron filter, threshold adjustment, and other settings.
